Frogs and Rugby

3rd of 3 terms has started!

The boys arrived back at the end of April, and jumped into their last term of 7th grade! “Long” rainy season and rugby have also started, meaning lots of mud, colder weather (upper 50s/60s), swarms of flying ants, sore muscles, ibuprofen, and runny noses.

Though getting colder, it is still beautiful here! (Pictured here: school car port on right and Home Ec building on the left.)

1st Rugby game and we were blessed with no rain that day!

Dave was able to build the boys a carpet ball table during vacation (to help distract them from video games- shhhh don’t tell them) 😉 Many tournaments have already happened with the champion getting to wear the coveted red wristband (that is probably getting sweaty and stinky).

Auntie Anne’s for dorm snack. Not as good as her’s, but still not bad- especially when most of the boys had no idea what Auntie Anne’s pretzels are! Say what??!!

Dorm game night

We have already had 2 birthday parties where burritos, tacos, brownies, and icecream were the requested foods. One of the boys parents were able to come for his birthday so the boys were all able to celebrate his 13th birthday, mustache style!

Boys are getting to dissect frogs in science class and their teacher let me sneak in to take pictures. The girls seemed fine with the boys doing the surgery 🙂IMG_1421IMG_1415

Please pray for:

This term we have 12 instead of 13 boys with one being gone on home assignment/furlough for just this term. Please pray for his adjustment back to Canada.

Pray for our boys’ health- student health has been hit with kids with colds.

Pray for the boys’ safety as they play rugby- where there is lots of tackling but no padding involved!

  1. I together with my guys were found to be reading through the good pointers located on your web site and then the sudden came up with a terrible feeling I had not expressed respect to
the blog owner for those strategies. My women became so warmed to read through them and have pretty much been enjoying these
things. Thank you for being really accommodating as well as for having such impressive tips most people are really needing to be aware of.
Our own sincere regret for not expressing gratitude to earlier.

  2. These pictures are so fun to see. Feels like I am closer to you when I can see what is happening with your big family of boys. Blessings on you all and stay well. Sounds like there is some crud going around. Love, Aunt Ilene

  3. I think the boys seem like they are having a lot of fun and making memories.
